Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries.

but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages,

STEM Volunteers

We welcome talented, energetic, and passionate innovative thinkers, and researchers from STEM industries and academia regardless of the academic and professional qualifications/background to join with us as a volunteer. The volunteers will be given the opportunity to contribute, design and take part in impactful research development with multidisciplinary research teams. Upon excellent performance, you will be allowed to take leadership and coordinate research teams of your interest.

Purpose
  • To promote Research Volunteer and Remote working culture in the STEM industry.
  • To provide opportunity to future leaders to continue to engage in cutting edge research development and related skills.
  • To allow the enthusiastic talents to evolve and emerge as world-class researchers.
Management
  • The work is mostly independent, and volunteers are expected to produce quality and timely work with minimum supervision.
  • Volunteers will directly answer to the Directors.
Roster
  • Minimum contribution – 10 hrs per week (monitored)
  • Flexible working hours of your choice
  • Remote working – work at your home where you are most comfortable Initial contract – 12 months.
  • Available to extend upon request and subjected to performance evaluation.
Duties & Tasks
STEM Research Volunteer:

  • Innovative Research development and proposal writing
  • Grant/funding application writing & presentation
  • Methodology development
  • Budgeting and financial management for research
  • Reaching out and networking with academic and industry partners
  • Sending out surveys to identify innovation gaps
  • Manuscript writing for publication and conference presentation
  • Scientific content writing to reach lay community
  • Actively communicate in discussions & forums
  • Attend monthly meetings
Team Assistant/Coordinator:

- Support STEM research volunteers

  • Keeping the team engaged and involved
  • Prepare timelines/ set deadlines and ensuring the team adhere to the deadlines

- General coordinator tasks

  • Regular email communication with collaborators Coordinate
  • Coaching and mentoring sessions
  • Coordination and regular update of social media
  • Acting as NcodeX ambassador to bring in new team members
  • Maintaining the NcodeX blog and keeping active

Independent Researchers

As an independent researcher,

  • We will guide you to develop your research idea to a feasible research project and to further execute by helping you enhance your skills in writing, planning and conducting research.
  • We will help you to gain hands-on technical skills in your research area by allowing you to engage in research work with our collaborators. Note that the programme is subjected to a fee depending on the project duration, project type, methodologies adopted, and equipment used.

  • We will guide you in writing the project proposal and developing the research idea to a feasible research project.

Note that it is subjected to a fee depending on the contribution of time and expertise. The proposals will not be written for you, but you will be guided throughout for making it a success.
